ST. LOUIS GREEN BUSINESS CHALLENGE 2013 OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT

The St. Louis Green Business Challenge helps member companies and organizations adopt sustainable business practices that can reduce environmental impact and help their bottom lines. In its first three years, the St. Louis Green Business Challenge has attracted 125 companies and institutions, representing more than
105,000 employees across the bi-state metropolitan region.
The Challenge was developed by the RCGA to help improve regional sustainability and help grow our region’s green economy. The Challenge teams work through a scorecard of sustainability strategies that reduce energy, waste and water consumption, engage green teams, improve indoor environmental quality, and expand clean transportation options.
Seminars, tours, and web-based resources stimulate best practices among participants. In addition, the Missouri Botanical Garden’s EarthWays Center consults with the Challenge teams to help them development implement their strategies.
The St. Louis Green Business Challenge Award Ceremony is held at the end of the year to salute teams for completing the Challenge. Enrollment for the St. Louis Green Business Challenge opens today and the kick-off seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 13.
