Group Insurance Benefits

The RCGA Sponsored Trust was established in March of 1971. The Trust allowed RCGA member employers to join together to create a larger entity with greater bargaining power. The Trust provides small and mid-sized employers, with 2 or more employees, the ability to offer group coverage that normally was only available to a large employer. Mercer Health & Benefits will provide monthly billing, local administration and customer service for RCGA member groups participating in the Trust program.

RCGA's sponsored health insurance programs provide a choice of POS and HMO benefits with a variety of deductibles and co-pay options. The employer may choose a medical plan from one of the following carriers; Group Health Plan, Mercy Health Plans, BlueCross and BlueShield of Missouri and United Healthcare.

Additional group benefits include dental, term life and AD&D, dependent life, long and short term disability. These benefits are underwritten by Standard Insurance Company and most are available without industry restrictions. The Standard provides an enhanced Life and AD&D insurance offering for members of the RCGA Trust.

Voluntary benefit programs include: dental, vision, term life and high limit personal accident coverage. These programs are available to member employers for their employees without a minimum participation requirement.
